I tried using the Ritual of Avulsion to gather these resources without having to place a Stonemason's Workshop, but this spell does not work for stone & wood.

It's called procedural generation. This island's only use is gather it's special resources, then you can destroy it or whatever.

I've encountered that island too, and ignored it. Just laugh at the strange things the fracturing of a planet can give us lol.
