Let us check and fix it for you.
Please follow the steps below:
1. Look for the folder Driftland located on your drive here: c:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Local\Driftland. Note that the USERNAME should be replaced with your actual username and the folder will very likely be hidden, so you'd have to make hidden folders visible to you in your Windows settings.
2. Zip the folder.
3. Send the zipped folder to Lead Programmer Krzysiek at krzysiek@stardrifters.com. He'll be looking into the matters to resolve them as soon as possible.
We've managed to find and fix a nasty bug. We have just released the 1.0.01 patch. Could you check if it solves your problem? Thanks

when I play multiplayer and someone leaves from a game the game comes to an end, all throws out in the main menu. is it possible to continue the unfinished game after that? or are you working to ensure that the disconnect of one player does immediately end the whole game?

We will examine it thoroughly.
If the multiplayer game is interrupted for some reason, the player who created the game can resume it by loading a multiplayer savegame or using Continue option. After loading the game, it's possible to invite rest of the players or replace one (or even all) of them with a bot(s).
