Nakawak has come a very long way since last year. Over the past couple of weeks, the game has received a steady influx of new content.

Today's additions:

-Revamped first boss encounter - difficulty has been raised
-Many subtle touches of polish throughout the game's entirety
-Various bug fixes including missiles penetrating certain walls
-Sound fixes

Previous additions:

-Extended playtime
-Rearranged Powerups
-New areas to explore
-Game progression alterations (to encourage exploration)
-New music
-New enemies
-Widescreen (no more black borders)
-and a full colorization of the game (from black and white)


This will likely be the final update for a while. I'm fairly satisfied with the current product. A few Kickstarter related additions will be made going into 2019, but as it stands, I'm pleased to bring to you all the "final" version of the game: Nakawak: Expanded Color Edition, funded by my Kickstarter backers.

This is just a quick sound and music update. Sounds and music have been dialed down across the entire game in effort to create a more comfortable listening experience. Also, along with this tiny update, a new song has been added to replace an old one.

We are pleased to announce:

A large update to the base game has been uploaded to Steam. Thank you so much to my Kickstarter backers and all fans of the game. As promised, the game has been altered, rearranged, polished, and expanded upon in many ways.

The changes are as follows

Free expansion to the base game includes:

- New level
- Changes to existing levels
- Changes to item and powerup placements
- Game progression has been altered
- Three new enemies
- New music

Hello! Nakawak has been updated in ways both major and minor:

- The game is now presented in widescreen! this allows for better player visibility (less cheap deaths!)

- No more pause screen for stats, as all are now displayed on the main play screen!

- Enemy hitboxes, player damage, and health have been balanced

- "Down" on the D-Pad now drops the player into the crawling stance (this previously required two button presses)
