Is there a CPU vs CPU mode in season?

I'm terrible at hockey games, and this is no different. Like to play them though. I thought there'd be a "rookie" mode or similar, but... Any thoughts of helping us noobs out while we learn to play better? The game is fun though...just constant 10-1 and 12-2 games gets a bit much....

I will honestly say this game is one of the top arcade hockey games ever made. Only gamei would put above it is NHL Hitz 20-03. This is even above NHL 3 on 3 Arcade. So big time thank you for an outstanding product. What was you guys's thought process throughout? Was it always going to be 1 on 1? And i know this gem just came out, but what are your plans for this project or future projects?
