Hello everyone,

We have had so much fun in this game with all of you. From sharing development updates to watching the videos and images of your massive battles in the game, it has been a pleasure sharing the experience that Override 1 has given all of us. Unfortunately, however, all good things must come to an end, and Override: Mech City Brawl will be closing its servers. Because of this, some time in the near future, the game will no longer be visible on the Steam store listings.

Fret not fighters, because Override 2: Super Mech League will continue to be playable for the foreseeable future. If you want to continue the action with our gigantic mechs and community, please check out Override 2 on Steam -

Brawl in the Override 2 Open Beta Available Now!

Override 2: Super Mech League’s Open Beta is available now! Be the first to brawl with a selection of characters from our 20 mech roster across multiple games modes. Experience each fighters’ distinctively deadly abilities and stylish combos in the all-new, faster gameplay! The beta will run from November 16, 6am PT to November 22, 9pm PT.

Game Modes:

Versus: Invite your friends and face-off in local or online matches of up to 4 players in free-for-all or team battles.
Online Multiplayer: Random queue of several modes-1v1, 2v2, 4-player free-for-all, and King of the Hill (at launch, players will be able to queue for all modes separately).
Training: Practice your piloting skills in the arena solo or against AI opponents.
Tutorial: Learn the ropes, including controls for basic attacks, abilities, and mobility.

New Mech Released: Mirai (Patch Notes)

Today's patch introduces a new mech: Mirai, the battle-hardened, plasma sword-wielding Watchbot from a dystopian future. Full patch notes below:

Short notes on the patch! Pumped to bring a new mech to the game:)

- New Mech Available: Bellona
- Available on digital storefronts starting on Jan 22

New Features
- A Random Map option is now available on the Map Selection screen
- Descriptions for Special Abilities can now be viewed during a match
- The match HUD has been updated
- Usernames are now displayed above mechs
- Mechs can now be rotated in the Garage, and zoom functionality has been added
- Halfway through a match, a special Charge Zone will now appear. A player's special meter will begin to build if they can stay inside the zone uncontested for 10 seconds
- Daily Win Bonus: Your first Ranked win each day will earn you bonus points

- “Disconnects” will now properly result in a loss
- Rating points earned/lost have been decreased for Ranked matches between players with 100 points in difference or more.

Skins & Accessories
- Rare, Epic, and Legendary drop rates have been improved to be more generous
- ProtonJon skin added for Mya

Balance: Mya
- Mini shuriken damage and cost increased by 50%
- Dash special has increased startup time and slightly increased range

Balance: Watchbot
- AOE stun duration increased by 50%

- Lunge special can no longer be charged indefinitely

Duplicate skins and accessories now grant coins that can be used to purchase other skins and accessories
Accessories are now separated into different rarity tiers, making some more common and easy to obtain
Hard Mode is now available after beating the campaign for the first time
Removed random weapons from Ranked mode
Adjusted the trajectory for throwing one-handed weapons, making it easier to hit close to medium range opponents
Fixed an issue where lock-on would occasionally malfunction
Fixed an issue where Pescado would send players out-of-world after suplexing them
Fixed an issue where certain missions in Arcade mode involving the seismic hammer would not end
Fixed an issue where Setesh and Rocca had a difficult time punching Mya due to their size difference
Balance Changes:
MetaGeckon's roll ability will now cause knockdown after dealing a certain
amount of damage
The animation on Pescado's folding chair Ultimate is much quicker, making it easier to successfully connect with an opponent
Watchbot's AOE stun duration has been reduced by 1 second
Watchbot's Ultimate now causes knockdown after dealing a certain amount of damage
Startup time on Vintage's EMP has been reduced by 50%, and the stun duration has been slightly increased.
Startup time on Vintage's Ultimate has been reduced by 50% and can no longer be interrupted.
Shifu's charged left kick no longer staggers opponents
Damage done by Shifu's 3-hit melee special has been reduced by 33%
The cost of Mya's quick shurikens have been slightly increased.
