Really disappointing game. It feels very boring and soulless compared to Postal 2. It isn't as bad as Postal 3, but that isn't saying much. I really just didn't feel like playing this game at all and I would have rather played Postal 2 again. I'm convinced Postal 2 is a sort of lighting captured in a bottle game that will never be fully replicated again. This game is also pretty rough around the edges with weird performances drops even 2 years after release. The AI are also really bad especially for a game released in 2022. I also experienced a glitch where I could not progress in the story at all. Pretty lame honestly and I wouldn't recommend you buy this unless you're a hardcore Postal fan. The only good thing about this game is that the guns look and sound cool.

There are things that are good about this, and there are a lot of things to hate about it.

The fact that they've brought back all the voice actors and got a new one (Duke Nukem 'imself) AND the guy from the movie is just awesome!
The commitment of the devs to update the game and make it good, is commendable.

But.... this is janky, buggy, and overall - the game plays - weird. It's not the same as Postal 2, which was janky and weird, this is more like - a jank jank.
It is harder (and easier in some ways) than Postal 2. Some areas make no sense, the enemies continue to spawn over and over in certain areas making the progression feel like a chore rather than adventure, some weapons do so little damage you might as well kick the enemy instead... there's a lot.

Despite it all, the game is playable. Is it finishable? Well, depends on how lucky you are with the bugs. I had a bug in previous updates that prevented me from progressing completely, had to restart. A few times actually. I didn't have a problem this time however, but I don't have the time to come back to it and try finishing it. I heard there's a special thing that happens at the end, depending which Dude you pick, so I really wanna see it.

In any case, if you like Postal, or RWS, you - probably could buy this game, as IT IS Postal, however unpolished and it feels - more like it's still in EA rather than a fully realised game (but this could be credited to many factors, one of which would be financial). So if you want them to work on the game, or more postal games, buying this would probably help them a bit.
It isn't Postal 2 however, so if you expect Postal 2, this isn't it. But it isn't as bad as Postal 3, you at least have an open world. It's also built on Unreal Engine so it has that.... Unreal Engine "charm" to it (looks generic AF with lots of post-processing) which makes many people go "this is good graphics" (I'm tired of pretending UE games look good just because its UE, or that they are optimised).

Depending on your expectations and - how janky you like it, you'll either have a fun time, or you'll regert ever buying this and quickly refund it.

just buy postal 2 instead.
