Neverwinter Nights: Enhanced Edition FAQ
Greetings!

We have prepared the most detailed FAQ for you!

https://store.beamdog.com/nwn_faq

The full list of changes between Neverwinter Nights 1.69 and the first build of Neverwinter Nights: Enhanced Edition is here[www.beamdog.com].

Places to understand what NWN:EE will be:

Roadmap - https://trello.com/b/K0C0i8wF/neverwinter-nights-enhanced-edition
Input - https://trello.com/b/Lb79bbgy/neverwinter-nights-input

The Roadmap board is a public read-only board where interested parties can inform themselves on what is going on in NWN:EE land, development wise.

The Input board is something I and other developers can fill with data based on what the community are saying. Then you (each of you!) can vote on that data to prioritise it. Developers will pick features from that and move it to the Roadmap board to indicate "this is great, let's do it"

If you're interested in helping to make NWN:EE better, go vote in the Input board, and share the feedback on the main forum.

Now the Roadmap board provides all the Live Stream links. We have also added the patch archive list and put a card with the NWN:EE release notes there.

There's no information about it.

Awesome! Love it!
So excited for this!! This game shaped my childhood and has remained a favorite of mine over the years! I don't care about having to rebuy it I'm just excited to see this happening to a game I feel was extremely underrated. Hoping to see an estimated release date sometime this year (not expecting it this year, just hoping for a release date).
Ah, another title you can water down and force on people instead of the original. I guess I'll download and backup my original version of the game from GOG quickly before you repeat what you did to Baldurs Gate, only leaving your bland product or torrents as an option when forcing out the original entirely.

Will you release a sub-par and opinionated "expansion" for this game too?

Does the FAQ cover any of this?

no need to backup, actually. Even if gog will receive request about shutdown - people, who already bought it, will still be able to download and play at any time. Only store page (and so - ability to buy) will be removed

I mean no offense by this, but I actually cannot see the difference between Enhanced Edition and Diamond Edition Neverwinter Nights. The graphic changes are so small they're hardly noticeable, and if I wanted to play a neverwinter nights game with better graphics I'd probably play Neverwinter Nights 2. The premium modules aren't included with EE, so I really don't see yet what kind of new content I'd be getting that's worth paying for? Maybe slightly better multiplayer compatibility?

I'm not saying there should be writing changes to the original, but couldn't we at least see beamdog produce a premium module of their own for us to play? Just some sort of content that Diamond Edition might not already have included? Maybe some extra races or classes? Spells and feats? Portraits or voices? I know I've made dozens of custom portraits and voices myself, but I'm still having a hard time as a player, seeing why I would upgrade to EE. In nwn2 they have warlocks, shamans, favored souls, and frenzied berserkers... why not include one or two of those classes? Will we perhaps see an option for invintory where we don't have to fit everything in our pack like a puzzle piece? There's a lot of gameplay quality of life *options* that I'm not seeing made available.

So far... all I'm seeing is the original game trying to be polished up to look a little bit more shiny, but from a gameplay perspective? That doesn't really add anything. I don't want to be a naysayer that beats up on beamdog, because there's plenty of that already... but even if we compare this to the other enhanced edition projects, this seems very... inadequite. Maybe this is still too early in production and the other features I'm speaking of are yet to come, but I am rather worried about the future of this game at the moment.

,,, Well I hadn't meant as DLC content :\ just three portraits and voices is kind of a rip off even if it costs you a nickel. Maybe if they gave 50 portraits and voices I could see them charging that much... *maybe*... but at least some new portraits or voices would be something new? So far all I'm seeing is old game content with slightly reworked interface/compatibility.

The OP is updated with the links to the Trello boards. A lot has already happened for NWN:EE between the announcement and today, and a lot more will happen before the game is released, as well as after its release.
I bought the Diamond Edition through GOG . com. Will that version be compatible with this remastered edition?
Julius Borisov  [dév.] 7 févr. 2018 à 5h47
Compatible in MP - no, but your saves will be compatible.
