Having only played through the first week so far, I was wondering. Can you miss any important events in the game? From what I understand you can miss the filler events where it just shows extra dialogue, but can I miss any event that unlocks a new adventurer or important content if I don't trigger it from the map on a specific day?...

Recettear is an aging title and I want to know if anyone else has made a more modern adventurer & shop simulator? Preferably one more laid back where I don't have to pay $100,000 this month or go bankrupt? I actually never beat Recettear because I kept falling short of the payments. But I like the concept and would love a more modern game with the same idea....

I just turned Merchant level 4.... Please stop trying to sell me $4,500 statues.... I wish the game were better programmed around some of these things. You're killing my XP chain, and my only real chance at getting past the 10K hurdle. Edit: And stop having Girl ask for books. I just turned level 4, for crying out loud! I haven't even had a chance to hit the market to restock, nor do I yet have the need....

As the title says: I've written a patch for Recettear that makes the game support widescreen resolutions, frame-rates higher than 60 FPS, borderless-windowed fullscreen, and a few other things. ...because I had to factory reset my steamdeck and I forgot Recettear does not have cloud saves. The only worse casualty is my emulated PSO gamecube save file....hundreds and hundreds of hours gone. Bit upset right now lads.
