Memory allocation error Windows 10?
I've used this rig to play the game (nearly 30 hours out of the 45 on it), most recently in April of this year. Drug it out of the oversized dustbin that is my game collection a little while ago, and got a memory allocation error that said it wanted 471 (I assume megabytes), and had received nothing. I've tried file verification and uninstall/reinstall, to no avail.

Suggestions?

Okay, apparently the problem is in the Steam client.

If anyone else runs into this problem, there are two workarounds: For launching from Steam, go into the game files and set the game to run in Admin mode.

If you're okay with running it from a shortcut, go into the game files, and create a shortcut from that. This version has the upside of not giving admin mode access to the game... But on the downside, cleaning up your desktop runs the risk of misplacing the shortcut.

Note: There are two .exe files. Both lead to the same place.
