Why does HL still cost 8 Bucks? (Hellhole post)
The game is literally older than me and they're still selling it for 8 Bucks :sob:

Edit: How do people get triggered so hard by this post? Touch grass ya'll
Edit 2: I pulled the age argument (16), cuz at that time I didn't have any holidays and working would be difficult (13:10 - 18:00 Schedule btw)

I'm not even following this thread anymore, lmao

16 year olds can also work, go find a job at a grocery store or something.
You can stop when you make eight whole bucks.

not saying, that I don't have money. I'm just saying, that 8 Bucks for a game that isn't maintained/updated anymore is just wild.
Your "Protect the multi-million dollar company" mentality is funny

Of course a 16 year old may not now this, but games used to come out fully finished, and then enjoyed throughout the years. These games don't need to be "maintained" until they've squeezed every last penny out of your pocket / justify their existence.

You're underage and shouldn't be playing these games to begin with.
So be thankful. You're impressionable mind is safe.

Dont listen to this guy, yeah 8 dollars kinda absurd, better than most triple a's nowadays at least

Game isn't worth $0.10
Eh, same concept as re-releasing a game... most games aren't freeware, they're still sold commercially in one way or another, be it Steam or GOG or otherwise. The WON version technically isn't freeware, but let's be honest, you can get it free easily because nobody wants it. But if you want the re-release version, the version with Steam support, you have to buy it digitally. Wait for it to go on sale or get the WON version and run it through Xash3D or something, I dunno.

I mean the game is only 8 bucks now, when it released like 26 years ago it was $49-50, and it still does get occasional patches, and the large 25th anniversary update.
Also just thought of this; if someone invented, and apple that could be eaten over and over again. And then 20 years later someone complains that an apple that would be able to be eaten forever still costs money. With the first guy who replied to this, idk why he is focusing on how old you are, anyone can enjoy the classics, but just because a game is old doesn't mean it should be free

Being 16 years old doesn't mean you can go to any company and demand their products for free. Wash your dad's car, mow your neighbours lawn, massage your grandparents.. there are plenty of ways to earn money instead of being entitled to get something for free.
