Can someone help me? When I start the game the screen get black and thats it. I can left it hours, that the screen is going to still black. I've tried many ways to solve it, but nothing happened. I have the same issue with MK11 ULTIMATE and Unjustice 2 Definitive Edition...spend the money for nothing and developers dessapeared since more than 2 years ago...I felt scammed

Now appears the next message: OnlineSubsystemSteam not initialized. Please launch the game from Steam client.

When I load the game up, my screen is black for like 6 seconds before it shows the developer and publisher logos. I believe when I first installed and played, it took a few seconds longer. You may want to give it a moment. If not, you can try some steps below.

Play Game From Steam Versus A Game Shortcut :

Select Library > Select Scorn > Select Play

Verify Integrity Of Game Files :

Right-Click On Scorn > Properties > Installed Files > Verify Integrity Of Game Files

- Update Graphics Card Driver
- Check For Windows Update

Try Installing / Updating :

Hello. Thanks for writing. I've done all of those excepting the NET FRAMEWORK. Gonna try and tell you.

I've had the same problem and I tried everything on the internet.

Things I did:

• Launching the game on DX11 using -dx11 argument.
• Using DXVK to launch it on Vulkan.
• Make sure .NET Framework, DirectX, and Visual C++ are installed.
• Install Media Feature Pack.
• Disable overlays (Steam, GOG, Discord, XBOX Game Bar).
• Modify Engine.ini and GameUserSettings.ini found in AppData\Local\Scorn\Saved\Config\WindowsNoEditor directory.

It runs using Intel's UHD 630 from my CPU on DX12, but won't run on my AMD graphics card no matter what I do.

First you should describe your environment, what Operating System do you use? If you use Linux, do you use Proton? Do you use Steam Deck? Is it OSX? Is it Windows? What version? There are some versions of Windows that are not completely compatible with the latest versions of DirectX required, in Linux the dependencies of each game always work better using Proton since each one uses its own libraries, whereas in Windows these are shared and may not be compatible with each other. I think the problem is not with the game or with Steam, it must be your operating system and some software that you have installed.

I play Scorn at 4K 60fps without any problems, no crashes or black screens, I use Ubuntu 24.04 from Flatpak+Steam+Proton.
