In retrospect, this is the worst game in the series. Rather small locations, atrocious AI, limited equipment items (compared to Thief 1/2) - all of this makes Deadly Shadows worse than its predecessors. And, of course, it's practically unplayable in modern widescreen resolutions without a fix: I recommend Sneaky Upgrade (SneakyTweaker) - look it up on ModDB.

However, Shalebridge Cradle is still one of the best missions in videogames, and generally Deadly Shadows has its moments aside from that. It's not a perfect game by any means, and is definitely not the best entry point into stealth genre, but if you like Thief, Dishonored, and Splinter Cell, you will definitely like this one. Even though it's not the best in the series, it's still a classic, and after replaying it in 2025 (for the third time), I can totally recommend it despite it's flaws.
