I put about 150 hours into this game on PS4, and I just had to get it here too, because I never get tired of playing this game. It's so satisfying lining up sniper shots on zombies, and I'm gonna have to find Marie's jacket because it's amazing!

Really fun game with friends. All the upgrades are excellent improving on the last game bringing it closer to the mechanics and feel of the Sniper Elite series but the game does lack the old school horror charm of Zombie Army Trilogy and its soundtrack.

I love this game. It’s loads of fun and the base game has a ton of content. There’s eight full levels for the story and 11 horde maps for additional action. Also, Season Pass One is free, so that’s three more levels and some additional guns and characters to play with.

However, if Season Passes Two and Three have the same amount of content as Season Pass One, then they are not worth the $40 asking price. They are not even worth half of that. Ragnarök has nearly the same amount of content for half the price. That’s more acceptable.

In summary: The base game is worth full price. Wait for a massive sale to see if you can get the season passes for at least 60% off, while Ragnarök is an okay deal as it is.

Is nice, better than the older one, but you have to pay to get the charcters and the hats ando the dumb faces. You can play the whole thing with the weapons you are given, Runs in my potato PC.

It's pricey, but it's the most refined and polished Zombie Army game, and doesn't just feel like a copy and paste like 2 and 3 did.

A notable step-up from its precursors, bringing some much-needed quality-of-life improvements and a much more cinematic experience, coupled with more engaging arcade mechanics to keep it fresh.

Zombie Army 4: Dead War is the fourth installment of the Zombie Army spinoff franchise released in 2020. It's much more in line with the mainline Sniper Elite games in terms of gameplay, bringing some desperately-needed flair and tweaks that made the series what it is.

You're once again placed at the end of World War II, continuing your crusade against the rotting forces of Hell, with new challenges and friends along the journey.

ZA4's gameplay makes a massive leap in quality over the first three games, adding more useful features such as finishers, a selection of different special melee attacks that can be charged up over time and passive effects that build up as you kill more zombies. Weapon variety and effectiveness are improved as well, this time the focus being taken away from just sniper rifles, but secondary and tertiary weapons, finally making them useful enough to be considered viable options when backed in a corner. A new perk system is introduced that gives many new passive and stat buffs to make the experience richer, earned by just fulfilling certain criteria like reviving allies enough times or scoring enough headshots.

Enemy variety is improved as well, adding a few more basic enemy types to keep you on your toes, while overhauling minibosses to both provide a fairer and more rewarding experience, giving you lots of ammo and even the weapons they were holding. Bosses are just as fun as in the first time this time around, if not more.

One element the trilogy was lacking a bit was the presentation. The music and cinematics were fine, but ZA4 blows it out of the water with an expanded soundtrack and full-on dynamic cutscenes to make it feel.. more gamey? It helps bind the entire experience together. Level designs are also much more varied this time, with more interesting puzzles, traps and locales, sending you on a trip through a fair few mediterranean countries.

A big upgrade to the trilogy, and I hope that, if a future installment eventually comes, it builds on this formula further. Buy on sale, as the game is rather pricey, but it's not the worst deal at full price, either. Happy slaying.
