BUG!
i have 2 officers, 4 regular crew. i have 3 standard cargo,1 upgraded cargo, 2 officer quarters, 2 crew quarters, 2 drone bay, 1 botanical garden, 3 upgraded engine. i tried to upgrade one of my cargo bay but it says unable to upgrade because i have more officers than officer quarters and i have more crew than crew quarters. i cancelled the upgrade and tried over, same error, i cancelled again. this time i tried to change the botanical garden into a botanical garden... same error. tried changing the officer quarters into officer quarters and crew quarters into crew quarters... same error. i traveled to the next system, and i used up 7 food when the stat sheet says i should use 3... that explains how my food kept going down so fast. i didn't accept or reject the modifications before moving on... so now im on a planet and its letting me make modifications but i still cant accept them because...same error

I will test it in detail tomorrow (it's very late right now) and come back to you after the tests.

Hi, I was unable to reproduce the issue. I also had a look at the source code. When you jump to a new system, the food consumption is calculated with the number of Botanical Gardens in your ship and the number of people on your ship. So, I checked all structures in the source code where people are added to the ship.

Basically, someone is added to your ship after loading a game, teleporting, recruiting someone or upgrading your ship (because the entire ship is re-build in code). Since you mentioned that you have duplicates of your crew, I can say that the recruiting option can't be the source of your troubles. Since you were already playing, loading the game also wasn't the source.

Therefore, I want to ask you: Did you upgrade your ship to another class or did you teleport from a planet, a dungeon or another ship to your ship, because you noticed the issue with the duplicated crew? From what I see in the source code, these two options are the ones that would make sense to result in troubles you have - although I have to say that the code looks fine.

this is the ship i started with. i killed off the clones and now i can upgrade the ship. two of the crew didn't get cloned, so i think it was a bug while transporting back from an enemy ship. i was scared to kill the clones because when i select a cloned crew member it selects the original and the clone. i thought it would kill both but it only killed the original. the clones would just stand thereon the ship and while on planet. while the bug was active, if you tell someone to transport to an enemy ship the original will run to the transporter and its 50/50 whether it transports the original or the useless clone that just stands there. this has been my best run ever i have 3 elite guns over 100k kicked some major pirate butt and now have a threat level 0. i never thought i would make it this far.

Have you visited a planet or dungeons in the game session before you wanted to upgrade your ship? it does not matter if it was 1 or 10 jumps ago, but it would have happened in the same gaming session? Do you have a fast computer? I might found the source of your issue, but I am not sure (that's why I have to ask additional questions).

All save game files are stored as files on your computer. If you do not want to take any risks, feel free to make a local copy of the save game files ;-) You find them under "%appdata%\Galactic Crew"
