Stuck at chapter six (solved, I think)

The game says to control the colour dews using the map in the control room. How? I use a keyboard and the arrow keys move the dews. R reloads. I have my black dew sitting under a map near the start. What do I press to enable the "control room"? Tried enter and that was useless Some help would be nice, thanks. I usually visit "options" before playing a game and was disappointed to find no movement instructions for this game. That would be a nice improvement, for me anyway - something to refer back to. Wo...
