SUGGEST: Add hotkey to hide trees so we can see where we are building in the forest

I don't see anything obvious in the settings but surely I've just missed it.

I can't see through the tree canopy to see what's going on in my village, what is the hotkey to turn trees invisible?

Your screenshot is likely set to private instead of public so we can't see it, but to also answer the question, there is no hotkey to hide trees in the game.

Okay thanks, I changed it to public, I really dislike the whole new screenshot function from Steam, it's so much more difficult to use.

Anyway, then here is my suggestion for a hotkey to hide trees, they obscure too much of the view of the village

Yes, I too really want a hide trees shortcut. It's extremely hard to build visually pleasing layouts for paths (forcing the peeps to take a path with fences) and monuments without clearcutting the place first, but I don't want to clearcut because designing around the existing nature is part of the process.

An option Via the Visibility Spyglass.. would be fantastic, Whether it removes the trees while its on or turns them into stumps or something, the only way to build Forest Based Cities/Villages is to zoom in all the way and sometimes that can be finnacey while Building.

at the moment i use mods to Remove all the Trees instantly and then plant them back after im finished building in an area.

It is easily possible that's why mods have done it, but I am guessing it is not a priority compared to many other features and bugs/crashes that are being worked on

Are they current mods or mods from early access? I haven't played in a while but I've not seen a mod that does when I was playing many hours a day.

No published mods can currently do it no, it was a feature in one mod from EA I believe, and I have an old unreleased mod that can do it too which I could try to clean up and then make public tbh. Might try to check on that today or tomorrow if I have time.
