It takes forever to load anything and when it loads a game I keep getting the lost connection to host error.....

Same here, keeps happening, then it says can't find compatible servers. Might need to check authenticity of files through properties.

tried uninstalling and reinstalling, still didn't work. Bout to delete the game forever lol

After verifying integrity of game files the game seems works again and I am able to join.

once you go to properties and then click verify files, am i suppose to do anything after???

I am living this hell as well. They need to fix it or they will loose a lot of players. I am tired of it to be honest.

just tried the verify fix and nothing. This is now a game a can't get access to play.

try add "-dx12" in the launch option. some say it works

still nothing, I love this game -_-

It worked last night after verifying files, going to try and verify them again and see if anything changes. Had a system update to my PC so maybe that has something to do with it.

I'm losing a lot of patience at this point. Spend way more time waiting at loading menus than actually playing the damn thing.

I also don't have a lot of time to spend dedicated to video games at this point in my life, so the time I do get to spend is extremely valuable to me. If the problems I've been having can't be solved, I'll just throw it in the dumpster fire that is my steam library recycle bin. HA!

if you haven't tryed this yet TRY IT. it works for some.

after some minutes--"lost connection to host"-- can't join a match for anything?

exit from game. exit steam.
exit windows, power off pc.
restart, then on your home page lower right corner (if set to show in system tray)
note time and date.
right click to open settings -- adjust time and date.
enable location permission
set time automatically. if it's on, turn it off then turn it on. if it's off turn it on.

log in to steam, start HLL and join match.

you may or may not have to take all of these steps but this worked for me.

Didnt work smh

everytime i turn my pc back on i have to validate game files, then when i finally get into game i have to redo all my settings. this has become an unoptimized mess and hassle just to play a couple hours. smh

That's wild. I see a ton of this on the boards but me and my friend have luckily had zero issues. The only issue I have is the server browser not loading after leaving a match. But a quick reboot always fixes it.
