Questions regarding current state of the game

After looking through the threads here, the game is supposedly dead, but it's still sold and is officially still in development. Does anyone know more? It does look like a good game to me from just the screenshots and videos, so I can't believe that such a good-looking project and something connected to Explosm is a "cashgrab".

Is the studio behind it maybe in financial trouble and that's the reason they can't focus on it? Or is the Publisher to blame?

Devs, if it's really dead: I'd appreciate it a lot if it received some kind of update to be able to play offline in singleplayer, even with just basic bots, just to archive the game for future game archeologists.

I don't know about financial status of studio and publisher.
But the game is just abandoned.
No one care.
I tried to write email to ask informations and once they answered me that is abandoned.

There are some groups of people that tried to resurrect the game, someone tried to gift steam keys if someone play. Nothing.

People don't want play this game even if they are payed...

And is still in the store. Probably some poor people still buy it.

Just to be clear: You got a reply via Email from the developers stating that they abandoned the game? If that is correct, can you post the contents of that Email? Thank you.

Hello there!
Unfortunately, at the moment this game is abandoned and we are not planning to make any updates due to technical reasons. We are really sorry about that!

This was the message. I got it from publisher (tinyBuild)
They rarely answer, so I was surprised. But seems there is no chance for any future about this game.
