A fun, somewhat janky post apocalyptic colony builder. The 4X-style overworld map is interesting but a bit flawed in execution. Buy on sale.

It's a solid take on the 4x genre. Good immersion, feels good to play. If the setting or the genre appeal to you I say go for it!

So there I was, standing in Walmart, just trying to buy a spatula. Not because I needed one, but because I had somehow melted my last one in a completely unrelated spaghetti incident that we don’t talk about anymore.

Anyway, I was minding my own business when I noticed a man in the aisle next to me—tall, wearing a bright orange tracksuit, and holding 17 cans of baked beans. Not in a cart. Just in his arms. He stared at me. I stared back.

I moved on. That’s when I saw something truly disturbing—an entire shelf filled with off-brand cereal called "Captain Oats’ Sugar Explosion." On the box, a pirate, but instead of an eyepatch, he had two monocles, and instead of a parrot, he had a taxidermy squirrel on his shoulder. I don’t know why, but I felt like the squirrel’s glassy eyes were judging me. I grabbed a box out of pure fear.

Then things got weirder. As I headed to checkout, an old woman stopped me, placed her hand gently on my shoulder, and whispered, "Beware the man in the tracksuit." Before I could respond, she disappeared into the seasonal aisle.

Now, I don’t consider myself a paranoid person, but when I turned around, Orange Tracksuit Guy was at self-checkout, aggressively scanning his cans of beans while never breaking eye contact with me. He nodded. I nodded back. This was a power struggle now.

Determined to assert dominance, I walked up to the register, bought the spatula and the cursed cereal, and got out of there as fast as possible. But as I walked to my car, I heard something behind me......

It was a Roomba. Just rolling through the parking lot. Alone. Where did it come from? Where was it going? Did it have a purpose? I don’t know, but I respected it. I gave it a salute, got in my car, and drove away.

But anyway, that’s how I got here

I actually played this to Platinum on PS5. Then bought it here on Steam. Never really played it, but thought I give it a review.
