Crashing
The game has crashed multiple times when i'm pressing the J key to skip a day while trading with a remote ship in The Spire. It has also crashed once during combat in The Dig flying an Anubis. These crashes seem to have started shortly after I finished building the Anubis but i'm not sure if there is any correlation.

Hi !

It looks like the Vulkan renderer crashed during gameplay, so this is not related to a specific gameplay action. Specifically, the crashes all happen inside your libnvidia-glcore.so driver library, so it looks like a plain old driver support issue, which is fairly common with the Vulkan + NVidia combination on Linux.

I'm aware you couldn't get the game to display properly on the OpenGL pipeline for your driver, so obviously we have a problem here. I'll take a look and investigate if I can fix the OpenGL3 support - which is something we might be able to pull of, unlike fixing NVidia's driver.

Thank you for responding. I removed "-vulkan" from the launch options and the game does not crash anymore but the ships are missing textures. It appears that currently, there are no open source vulkan drivers for nvidia cards and it's not possible to try using different versions of opengl with ue4, so i'm limited with this hardware when it comes to trying different things to see what happens. I also have a laptop with Radeon 8000 graphics and the open source mesa-vulkan driver. On that computer, opengl works fine iirc (no missing textures) but when I tried running it with vulkan, it caused some flickering and crashes. Next time I use that computer, I can upload the logs from there also.

Thanks for the fix! I don't see any problems with opengl on this machine now. All of the textures are showing up and the game does not crash. I really appreciate this fast response.
