During the last couple of weeks fishermen around the world ventured into the unknown depths of the newly discovered Cave System of Whispering Waters.
We got some great feedback and really enjoyed your reactions.
So we made a video out of it!

Mysterious never before seen cave entrance has been spotted at Whispering Waters!
Scientists are puzzled why this cave had not been discovered before however the entrance was heavily overgrown by the local flora.
Adding to the mystery is that the cave does not appear in any of Misty Falls historical records which could indicate that the inside might as well have never been witnessed by any human being.
Who knows which secrets lay hidden? Could it contain species that have yet to be discovered?
Who knows? Even we don't know! That's why we don't even have a changelog for you (yet)! ;)

Get ready to explore the mysterious cave and help us reveal its secrets!

Since the release of Catch & Release, we got a lot of great feedback and suggestions from you guys.
The single most requested one was this:

MisterMxyzptlk: Any chance of getting a WEATHER update in the future with some rain?
BeeSawd: Moving/randomized clouds I know it sounds small but this one little thing would be fantastic, being able look up and just stare at the clouds for a bit would be fantastic, (...).
capnsoup: (...) maybe a light WEATHER system along with moving clouds? (...).
HerpicleOmnicron: I've got fond memories of fishing while watching the rain ripple on the water and tapping on the umbrella. Rainy fishing's great!
ragesaq: There needs to be WEATHER. (...)

So we got some GOOD NEWS for all the fans of BAD WEATHER.

HERE IS THE WEATHER UPDATE that will add a complete dynamic weather system to the game.

We are happy to announce that the Foundation Update is out NOW for everyone on all Platforms!
It is also available on PS4 in Asia starting today!
Thanks to everybody that helped with testing the public beta.

Sorry for the long silence and thanks for your patience everybody!
The exciting news of course is that we were (and still are) working hard on new updates for Catch & Release and we are proud to announce the (Steam) public beta of the Foundation Update today.
As the name implies this is just the foundation we will build upon with our next updates.
And I know that you guys want to know what those updates are and what the content is... but we will announce this as we develop and release them.
Leave a little surprise :)

Anyways... first update, some fundamentals that needed fixing and adding.... and onwards and upwards!

We did change a lot under the hood. A major engine upgrade is just one of those changes.
We also incorporated a lot of your usability feedback:

- Multiple save slots
- Option for imperial units
- Option to disable Snap turn
- Separate SFX and ambience audio settings
- (Re)moving the 'Reset game' button.

And made a lot of other usability improvements:

- Complete shop overhaul
- Menu overhaul
- Performance improvements
...
