Loading logs

Is there a way of loading logs without a crane?

I just started the third map and can't start with a truck capable of having a crane (without having no fuel truck).

In casual mode there are log stations that don't require a crane. You just drive into the loading zone, select the size of log you want and they are automatically loaded onto your truck.

hmmm. Then hardcore on this map needs a rethink...

Don't forget that at log stations you can park up and auto load logs whereas log kiosks have to be manually loaded (in hardcore)

This does not seem to work. What do I have to do to get the UI to appear to load logs?
