I'd like to also ask about something i'm not quite sure it's a bug or intended. When playing through the story, you are presented with the choice to cheat on your wife with the neighbor. I refused when she called, but I can't find any other way to progress other than going to the neighbor's house and cheat.
The other issue I have is finding the gear to put on the heating of the apartments. There's a old lady with a broken car you can steal it from. I refused to steal it and replaced her tire. But I never managed to find a gear elsewhere, and i've noticed the old lady respawns after entering and exiting the downtown a few times. Is this by design and is it the only way to get the gear? After replacing her tire the first time the car will always appear visually with the tire already put in instead of the block it was before.
Regarding not cheating with the neighbor:
If you choose not to cheat on the neighbor, what you need to do, is go back up and go to bed after haning up the phone, then, the next day, after speaking with Grace, go downstairs and call your mentor who will refuse to help you. Now you need to go to work, and talk to the receptionist - this will get you onto the next path.
Regarding finding the alternative gear
What you should do if you refused to take the gear, is to go to the bar, where you need to walk past the two bar patrons sitting in the booth towards the far right. You'll overhear a conversation about one of them stealing the gear to sell for scrap metal saying he has it at his place. You then have to try to figure out where he lives. Talk to one of the apartment dwellers (the one living in 301 I believe), who will tell you the guy lives with his mother in a specific apartment. Go knock on that door, only to be told she doesn't work until nighttime, then go to sleep in the bed belonging to the crying lady on the stairs whom you're currently helping. Once it's night time, leave the apartment and go talk to the lady who is now working in the street.
Something I did before the call however was directly give Grace the experimental meds from my inventory before talking to her, not sure if that might be the cause, since from what i've seen of people playing people usually give her the meds with a dialogue option (and giving her the meds directly from the inventory also didn't give me the related achievement which is what makes me think it might have something to do with it)
