Full Game Timer Running Too Fast: Possible Bug?
I recently completed a full run of this game in approximately 50 minutes during a stream. However, the time displayed at the end was over an hour and a half. When I was trying to figure out how this happened, I decided to go onto a different file and watch the timer running. This is the result: https://clips.twitch.tv/SpotlessCharmingPuddingTriHard The timer is clearly running much faster than real time, and I suspect that this was even more pronounced during my run. Is this happening to anyone else? For the record, the level timer is running at approximately the same speed as real time, if not exactly the same speed.

Hi,

Thanks so much for bringing this to my attention. I apologise that your time totals have become highly inaccurate due to an oversight on my part.

The problem seems to be a floating point precision issue from the total time being stored as a number of seconds ranging in the hundreds of thousands. Adding 0.016 seconds (which is the duration of one frame) to a floating point number of such a large number probably results in the sped up timer from rounding issues.

I have an update planned in the coming fortnight so I'll be sure to set up a more robust system for the total counts to reach any practical length of time accurately.
