Report Naughty Bugs Here [May Contain Spoilers]
Hello there. Jamie the developer here. This thread exists so you can let me know about any sneaky little bugs you might encounter on your travels. Fingers crossed, it will remain eerily quiet around here, but, considering computers can be quite mischievous and often have a personality all of their own, no doubt some issues will crop up.

I'll be checking this thread like a bug-hungry hawk throughout launch so, if anything does go a bit wonky for you, let me know and I'll do my best to get it fixed ASAP.

Well, it would appear that I'm a massive idiot! Anyone installing the game within the first hour after release may have noticed and there was my own damn test save in save slot 1 - a day 70 save full of spoilers that was being pulled from my main test computer here. Completely my fault. That should be fixed now, but I had to do a save wipe to try to get rid of it, and if this affected you or your saves, please accept my deepest, deepest apologies. Anyone installing within the last 15-ish minutes should be fine.

I suppose that's why they call it "early access". Ugh... Not the start to launch I wanted - I think I nearly had a complete stress overload then - but everything should be working as intended now. If you do encounter any weird issues with save files after making sure the game's been updated (which Steam should do automatically), please just let me know.

wow i have the cool save file, ill keep it as a souvenir of early access. By the way, sometimes there is a bug where even though there is an orange outline, you can't pick something up even if you press the interact button. You can resolve it by opening the inventory, closing the inventory, then you'll be able to pick it up again, its not game breaking, but just letting you know

Ah, I thought I might have fixed that save before anyone noticed :) Sorry about that. Definitely make sure your game has been updated before you play any more, though. I don't want the update I pushed to damage any of your actual saves. Everything should be fine from now on, though, fingers crossed.

Someone else has reported an issue with interacting, although they're not getting the orange outline. I can't for the life of me recreate either issue here though. It sounds like the UI is snatching focus from the game, and opening/closing the inventory is returning it. I'll continue testing here, but if you figure out a set of steps you can take to recreate the problem, please do let me know. And, just to clarify, are you using a controller or mouse/keyboard? If mouse/keyboard, do you have a controller plugged in as well? Just trying to narrow down what could be causing this weirdness.

Aw, I'm sorry :( I had to do an emergency update straight after launch to try to clear it. I may still be able to track down my local copy of that save, so, if you really want, email me at info@sludj.com and I *might* be able to send it to you. Got my hands a little full at the moment, though, so it might take me a day or two.

Hahahaha the save file was not a problem at all, it was interesting seeing high tier items and structures. I am using a keyboard, Ill let you know if i manage to find the set of steps that recreates the problem. Nice game btw hahahaha, I know you have a list of features on the way, but some more soundtracks to play while mining/cutting trees would improve the quality of the game.

Thanks for being so understanding. It was an absolute "D'oh" moment on my part :)

And thanks for keeping an eye on that Interact bug. I'll keep frantically trying to get to the bottom of it at this end too.

More music is definitely on my list of things to do. As well as more music in general, I've also contemplated the idea of letting you craft a stereo in-game, or headphones, and tune into different themed radio stations, like some kind of Yeti Beast techno or Rock Beast, well, rock :) Can't wait to get any naughty lingering bugs resolved so I can get back to new features.

I'd love a radio station run by Yetis! A really interesting idea! "Imagine, as the sun rises and you head out to chop some trees, your headphones are on, and you hear "You are now listening to, Yeti Radio" and then next thing you know some really funky Yetinese music starts playing, and all of a sudden you're having a great time while gathering resources for your base. You have a really interesting niche game, and you are a really awesome dev. keep up the good work and your game will take off, good luck!

Haha! "Yetinese" :)

Thank you for the kind words, dude. It means a lot. I'm gutted anyone's encountering any issues at all, but fingers crossed, with the patience and help of people like yourself, it won't take long to figure them out and squash them for good.

Hey again, I'm not sure if this is intended, but beasties lose agro when they are partially submerged in water.

Also, I've noticed sometimes when watering plants in a greenhouse, your character randomly slides away from the plant. This has only happened to me twice on separate save files, and the next day or so, the problem disappears, but 95% of the time I'm watering plants, it doesn't happen. So its only a low priority bug.

Yeah, beasties are supposed to stop moving near water (so they don't drown themselves), but it needs a little tweak to make sure they are happy to walk back out! I think they'll still attack you if possible (unless you're swimming as well), but I have a feeling that you're right and they may stop moving. I'll look into it.

That sliding around while watering issue you mentioned is a new on to me! Hmm... That is odd. I shall have to carry out a few tests there and see if I can recreate it. How strange!

Thanks again for the feedback, dude :)

If you jump, and while in middair, you try to interact with something, like chopping a tree down, it won't let you perform that action. Alright this one should be reproducible, again I don't know if its a bug, but it feels like a bug, fixing it will improve the "polish" to the game :)

Yeah, you have to be stood on the ground in order to interact with things. I think that makes sense, doesn't it? It'd be a bit weird if you could start chopping a tree down while jump/falling past it, wouldn't it?

I'm just working through my list of changes for the first update at the moment, but I still can't recreate that issue which is breaking interacting for some people. Really bizarre, that one. I'm sure I'll get to the bottom of it eventually!

i have encountered two minor graphical bugs (possibly connected to eachother?). when my character is walking over sand or snow, the footsteps have a black outline, as if transparency wasnt working as intended. i also have a red message in the upper left corner saying "TEXTURE STREAMING POOL OVER [number] MB".
ive tried restarting the game and changing the graphics quality from high to low, but it didnt do anything beside make the texture number go from 100 mb-ish to around 10 mb. also, here is a picture of the bugs happening if it helps with figuring out whats wrong - https://gyazo.com/ecd639a5f89e23d557c2f3a8a72223f2
it might have something to do with windows 8, since ive had transparency problems with several other games too.

Oh, that's not ideal. How strange. Sorry you're having problems with it. Leave that with me and I'll have a look into it and get back in touch. It sounds more like it might be an issue with the graphics card to me rather than Windows 8. Do you happen to know what graphics card your machine has?
