Are they meant to be "without quitting the game" or "without starting over the game" type of achievements?

Well i bought the game today in the bundle with "holy potatoes we are in space" and as soon as i star the game, i see the developers all the stuff and then i click "start new game" it shows a comic of two guys cooking but when the comic goes to the part of "but it also took my life" the screen goes black, and in the right corner at the bottom there is a loading thing and then nothing else happens. i can hear music and sounds but the game wont do anything else. After hitting "New Game" I can see one screen showing text until "But it also took my life", then there is a transition and the screen turns black. It shows the loading text in the bottom right corner for some time but the screen is still black. The loading icon does not animate as while loading the title screen. I can hear music and sounds of someone falling(?) but visually nothing changes. Clicking and hitting several buttons gives no noticeable feedback....

The issue goes as follows: I hit 'Start New Game' - which takes me to the comic of two guys cooking - which plays properly. After that, the screen turns black and I am able to hear sounds of someone falling etc There is a loading animation in the bottom right corner which doesn't move and disappears after a few seconds. After that the music keeps playing but nothing more happens.No errors, no crash reports. I restarted my PC, reinstalled the game several times too. I see other people are having this issue ...
