what causes the game to freeze every few minutes, i have a fast pc etc, latest drivers, this game is 40 years old so that should not be a problem on my end

This game is dying because they want $15 a month and very few people are willing to pay that for a game they aren't constantly playing, which in turn means the servers are dead and who wants to play a game on a almost dead server. What they need to do is follow the example of war thunder and World of tanks and add a Tech-Tree. This way they can drop the mandatory $15/m (instead using it as a boost). This will get more players on the server which will in the long run generate far more then $15/m....
