How did you guys discover Yume Nikki?
I want to get a sense of how far the fanbase stretches. I saw a few memes on reddit, and a few days later read a Polygon article. I'm telling my friend all about it and it's the first time he's heard of it, too. So how did you guys learn about it?

It was in 2010. I felt bored of playing the same games over and over again, so I went to the internet and I looked for "something out of the ordinary". Then I became more specific and looked for "a game about dreams". And so I stumbled upon a blog which was talking about Yume Nikki.

I was already super into LSD Dream Emulator and some people told me this game was vaguely similar so I tried it out.

Funny, now that I think about it, I can't recall how I learned about it. All I know is that I somehow learned about it via the interwebz and downloaded it to blindstream for a few friends. I always wanted to get back to it; it being here is as good a reason as any!

I was watching a friend streaming their art, and one of them was a drawing of Madotsuki and I found her absolutely adorable and asked them who she was. So I got the game and tried it for myself, and instantly fell in love with it. It was around 2011 or 2012.

And to this day it has a very special place in my heart.

I heard about it about 10 years ago, mainly about Uboa and then it just peaked my interest and then from that point just wanted to know everything there was to know about Yume Nikki.

I was randomly watching some Youtube videos back then, and came across the Uboa thing, it had many theories and such about it if I remember, So ye, decided to try it out for myself.
