TL;DR - Probably the best money-to-quality ratio I've ever seen on a Steam game. If you remotely like any kind of pure-bred RTS, play it.

Oh man, where to begin with this game?
I've been playing it for 5+ years, mostly on my phone/tablet. It's almost entirely bug-free, it runs exceedingly well with even 750+ units on the battlefield, it hardly even needs a tutorial because it's just so self-explanatory. It would be nice if it did have one, but I've had a couple friends try it and they didn't sorely miss having one.

There's some mods that entirely overhaul the game mechanics, borderline to the point where it feels like a new game. New sound effects, mechanics, aesthetic, it's wonderful. The main thing for me I wish was better would be the AI for units.

Don't get me wrong they're still incredibly fun to use/fight against, but they definitely don't feel... smart, and don't particularly have any obvious tactics besides "Throw down buildings randomly and spam tiny units". As for AI you control, they definitely can struggle sometimes with pathing. They don't form up really, ESPECIALLY for ground units. Sometimes it feels like they're less an army and more a swarm of ants. This really doesn't hinder game-play that much for me though, and some overhaul/AI mods can help with this!

Overall though, this game is a timeless masterpiece, and I would recommend it to most anyone. It has great design, its extremely mod-friendly, and it's super fun to play with friends. 9.5/10!

This game is what got me to love RTS titles so much.
if your looking to try out the RTS platform, this is a great place to start!

bought the game. got one year war mod (Gundam) and that's all i play the the game for. i'd say its worth 6 dollars just for the base game tho
