how does one take out those platforms before getting nuked into oblivion?! i just cant get close enough to take them out without every other platform getting involved. i try to position, and send in my little fighters around the perimeter, but again, just cant get close enough. am i missing something?...

I've had a blast with this game. Really fun. Problem, after the Shukenja Beta mission I've found myself flailing around trying to figure out what's wrong with my ship. It just, won't work. My ship will not shoot at the Raptor Vessels, now, I'm playing on the easiest difficulty and just kite them around for ten minutes and only one of the ships dies. Not difficult just tedious. To start with, there are things the game doesn't say at all, for example like moving wherever you want in space by holding down shift and left clicking (had to look it up). Yet every action I do it seems delayed? Sometimes my ship doesn't obey commands even when I am telling it to move towards a ship, sometimes it doesn't fire, even with power and in range, and it's really hard to tell if your even doing the right thing or if it's working I don't know what I am doing wrong though?
