I just permanently corrupted one of my characters with a trainer, be careful never do this

I will say that this is a rather sub par yet very enjoyable game. I'm a huge fan of Seiken Densetsu 3, the original and have played and finished it a few times on real hardware, I even re-bought the Trials of Mana remake on Steam despite having finished it multiple times on PS5. I decided since this particular entry in the series is just not that good I'd use a trainer to level faster and maybe sometimes turn the attack cooldown off. ❌No Cloud Saving

Be warned if you're planning to play this on the steam deck. You can't carry over your saves from your PC Stupid remake uses cover art of classic game to lure in buyers and doesn't even have cloud saving.

Spikey tiger not the hardest...

I've played this game since 1997. Granted the remake made most of the enemies and bosses easier. However I'm going to make a statement thats about the original. Spikey tiger seems hard because of the close quarters area however if you grind to level 11 theres a very good chance youll walk out with all three characters a live. Not true for the wall. End of act one boss is a wall with three eyes. Nowhere in the game tells you to destroy the middle eye to win the day, it also doesnt tell you that at this p...

The Good: It's Secret Of Mana. The text is readable this time.

The Bad: It's not the Secret Of Mana you grew up with. Hitstun feels even worse and more awkward than the original, new rearranged soundtrack is mostly crap. Most of the game just feels really nerfed.

The Ugly: No Mode 7 cannon travel, generic bland load screens when entering new areas.

Way to be the vastly inferior version of a great game. The bones and sinew of the 16-bit classic are here, but if there is any other way to play this gem in its 16-bit form, then, I'd have to recommend that.
