Sliders on Linking Book Dome do not work

I've solved the Marble Puzzle on Generator Island correctly so there is power to the Domes. After opening the Linking Book marble Dome nearby, and using the numbers from Ghen's journal to move the five sliders, nothing happens. They all simply reset to the left, and the chamber below remains sealed, with the Book visible through the glass. So near yet so far.

when they all slide back with nothing happening you have something wrong...

Correct, 2 things,
You need to go back and recheck the code, (it changes every run through the game.
2nd, ensure you have the dome's' slider markers set to the correct position.
The 2nd suggestion is usually what happens to me

Thank you SO much! That's exactly what happened, I thought I had to move the last number (1) a space to the right. Turns out, the very first tick is number one! I had redone it over and over the wrong way til I saw your post!
