Is there a way to access the EX content from the beginning? In previous versions I guess it asked you, but it did not on a startup of this edition.

The game will ask early on if you know the secrets to this world, if you click yes, it will unlock the extra routes from EX.
I assume you have played the base stories but its recommend to if you haven't.

I can't remember if it asks you this as soon as you start the game or if you have to get to the first night where Riki goes to get his note book from the classroom. This is the first main choice which lets you deviate into the new stories.

I tried doing what you said and while there was indeed a choice to go pick up the notebook on the 2nd night, there was no question about secret of the world. Riki comes across a closed door and just walks away and the night goes on.

I thought maybe I missed it (as I was skipping) so I used the save delete tool (which btw on Steam Deck is called "Controller layout tool" for some reason) to wipe my saves clean. Having started a new game, I got to the notebook choice, chose to go pick it up, and yet again there was no choice if I know the secret of the world and the night just ended.

I am still trying to find a way to unlock the EX routes without having to replay the whole VN from the beginning so if anybody else has found another way to unlock them I would be grateful!
