Nothing about internet connection required in system requirements, yet it talks about playing with friends.... Is this game connecting to the internet?

It just doesn't start, it'll say that its launching on my library page then it goes back to "Play" with no windows opening. I've already verified the game files, and uninstalled and installed on a different drive but still nothing. This also happens for Disney/Pixar Rush game if that helps....

Did anyone have trouble playing with a controller? Specifically a switch controller connected with a USB, mine works for every other game but I want to use it in this one and it won't pick it up and I can't find the option to swtich from keyboard to controller....
