I don't know what kind of framework the game's running on, but is adding controller support at all realistic? If not, there's always JoyToKey, but it would be neat.

OK, I probably should have paid more attention shortly after I entered the "World of Ruin" stage of the game, but I think I missed exactly what cherries are supposed to do and I don't see any way to look it up or ask again. Is there any use for them besides using the "cherry to coin converter" which I have not yet unlocked/researched? I am still pretty early in the second "phase" of the game....
