Cuit
The Sudden and Complete difficulty spike in Rollercoasters (Level 37)
I absolutely loved it! Made me get out a pen and paper and drew the damned thing and I realized how to simplify this whole game and how it works. It's 4 switches and what effect they have on the 2 locks. When I had to flip which switch, a combination of some of these gates were functionally identical to another gate. Two of the switches were really like 1 switch with 3 settings. And I could realize, under 1 condition, I had full freedom to unlock one of the locks without losing progress on the other. That 1 big condition forcing only 1 solution to be possible!

Hope the rest of the levels, or the custom levels, have more of this hellish suckers.

-----------------

Edit: There's no achievement for the final level? What about for beating a custom level? Those would be nice. (but not for like... beating a billion custom levels. lol)

Hey there! Awesome, glad to hear you had fun! Sadly, I lost the project files for "Cuit" with the death of my old hard-drive. "Back-Up" was sadly a term unheard of back then, apparently. So, sadly I cannot make any more changes to the game, but eventually plan on someday writing a sequel, which will be a bit more polished. But yeah, I'd say there's plenty more difficult levels to come after "Rollercoaster", some are really mind-twisters, like "Have Fun" or "Yes it's possible". Oh, but your "Edit" tells me you already beat them :)

All the best,

Edit: And yeah, there are a few difficulty spikes, but funny enough they are in different spots for different people (watched all the YouTube let's plays of it). And it was kinda hard to make a smooth climb in difficulty. If I tried that, most time I just ended up with the same difficulty but just with more nodes.
