Balance Suggestions
Hi There. Balance in this game is surprisingly good once you're into the upper tiers. Me and my friends that have been playing are all big into the FGC, have some placements under our belts and we think we have a pretty good handle on the game so far.


The characters that are bad:

Amaterasu is really weak right now. Amaterasu more-so. It's hard to do much with her because her arrows just don't do a lot of damage, and blocking them gives trait which is super valuable. I think a damage buff of 10-15 damage is helpful. Arrows aren't used in combos and giving her threatening footsies would help a lot. Arrows just don't compare to Zeus's projectile and Odin's tornado.

Mazu is also really weak right now but we haven't had a chance to figure it out. 5H is an amazing button, but she just doesn't do any real damage. I'd maybe buff her damage on 623L/M/H a little.


The characters that are decent/good:

Secret Character's super isn't frame 1 but it's a command grab. We only found a use for it as the world's hardest read in footsies and sometimes as a tech trap, but in a world with unscaled damage it really should be frame 1 like Zeus and Anubis. I would also make her 623L/M/H grab invuln as it doesn't serve much of a purpose right now (no invuln on wakeup, 2H is a better anti-air in most situations and it is not optimal in combos)


The characters that are great:

Zeus's 236M projectile is very, very oppressive. You can't jump over it with most characters without perfect timing. Blocking it is actually good for you since it gets you trait and you do get space advantage, but jumping over that projectile just feels impossible. It makes 236L and 236H basically useless. Can the hitbox be reduced?

Zeus's trait if backdashed puts you in proximity block for a solid 4 seconds or until pressing forward. Aggravating since backdash is the best way to deal with it.

Odin's tornado stays on screen as a hitbox after activating trait by the opponent, but the graphic goes away. This leads to having to /know/ that the tornado is still out despite the animation being gone. I honestly think his tornado staying out during trait is fine, but it's a quirk.



Some General Changes:

-Making it easier to buffer inputs after trait flash. It's almost impossible to do trait into super on reaction to a jumpin/bad button.
-Control configuration needs some work in general, you should be able to assign a key to something that's already assigned and have them switch places. It makes it hard for 2 players to get going.
-In general, projectile damage from zoners needs to be buffed by 10-15 damage per hit.


We play Odin, Athena, Zeus, and Guangdong and we feel like Odin and Zeus are the best in the game and Athena and Guangdong are right behind them. No one is oppressive except maybe Zeus (but honestly it's more he's unfun to play against), and I don't think nerfs to the top tiers is a way to go.



Overall the game is well balanced and I wouldn't make too many dramatic changes, the dynamic feels really good. Thanks for readin

ngl, i was trying to main amaterasu, and idk if she was changed in the update, but uh, i feel like i'm still not doing great. granted, i'm in the weenie hut jr. section of fighting games, but i still feel like the final boss on very easy with amaterasu... isn't super easy. i'm bad at fighting games, but also most other fights in arcade mode i found i could get a bit better with picking a strategy and learning from my mistakes.
