PC ADVANCED SETTINGS AND FEATURES

Uncapped Framerate
We at MachineGames are huge PC players, and all of id Software’s games have very strong PC DNA. So it’s important for us to make sure the PC version of the game is as solid as any console version. That’s why we built the game on idTech 6, which also allows for uncapped framerate – one of the features we’re most excited about.

Aspect Ratios
With such a wide range of tastes in aspect ratios among PC gamers, it was important for us to ensure compatibility with as many as possible. Here are a few of the big ones, but it’s by no means all of them.

  • 4:3
  • 16:9
  • 16:10
  • 21:9 (ultra widescreen)

Resolution
Supports 4K resolution

Field of View Slider
70 FOV to 120 FOV

Advanced Visual Settings

  • Lights
  • Shadows
  • Directional Occlusion
  • Reflections
  • Decals
  • Motion Blur
  • Image Streaming
  • Volumetric Quality
  • Decal Filtering
  • Deferred Rendering
  • Chromatic Aberration
  • Depth of Field
  • Resolution Scaling

Vulkan
When we started development of Wolfenstein II, the choice of graphics API for PC was a simple one. DOOM had already set the stage for what could be done with Vulkan and we wanted to take it to the next level.

Using Vulkan when developing has allowed us to utilize the power of AMD's VEGA graphics chips in ways that were not possible before, giving us fine grained control over the performance and feature set of the GPU without having to sacrifice artistic intent. Combined with the flexibility of AMD's hardware, Vulkan gives us the artistic freedom to deliver Wolfenstein without compromise.

Controls
Full keyboard and mouse rebinding options
Separate controller and mouse/keyboard sensitivity settings

Anti-Aliasing Options
We have a range of anti-aliasing options including, but not limited to:

  • TAA
  • FXAA
  • SMAA
  • TSSAA

Colorblind Modes
Here are the three modes we included:

  • Protanopia
  • Deuteranopia
  • Tritanopia

So the game won't work on an i5 4690K CPU?

Yes it will work on that processor.

I5 7400
GTX 1060 3GB
8GB DDR4 MEMORY
Will this be okay?

I'm assuming mid-to-high settings.

okay, as long as ill be able to play it

Who will purchase it, if most people use intel i3 or i5 ! Game made for few geeks i-7 owners ?
6ix 24 Oct, 2017 @ 10:54am
I overlooked the Generation Number. I'm guessing anything past Gen 3 would work okay...granted it's a mid-level+ CPU.
When I did a benchmark test between the i7-3770 and the i5-4690K, the i5-4690K outperforms the 3rd Gen i7 by leaps & bounds

They really screwed up by listing an i7 as the minimum requirement as many of you are panicking for absolutely no reason. Even a modern i3 can run Doom at well over 100 frames per second so you have nothing to fear at all with an i5 or even an i3 if all you're trying to get is 60 frames per second as this game can't possibly be more than twice as CPU demanding as Doom.

I don't know what nonsense Benchmark you're looking at as Haswell is only a few percent faster than Ivy Bridge clock for clock. And in games like Mafia 3 and Watch Dogs 2 that utilize more than 4 threads The Ivy Bridge CPU would be faster.

I checked on a few sites but the ones I went with is cpuboss_dot_com and cpubenchmark_dot_net. In some instances, yes, more threads are better than less. The only area the older i7 beats the newer i5 is on thread-count (8 vs 4).
Either way, I don't think we can rule out that the game won't run on the i5 due to it having 4 threads less...
Still, the i5 got better ratings overall imo.

Besides, I played Mafia 3 on ultra and my PC didn't flinch. I think more emphasis should be put on graphics cards than CPUs

Then you have some s***** low standards as it's a night and day difference in Mafia 3 with hyperthreading off on my 4770k compared to it on. In fact it is a stuttering mess at certain points and cannot maintain 60fps at all with hyperthreading off. The minimums literally drop by over 50% down into the forties and fifties at times we're with hyperthreading on it never dips below 70. With hyperthreading off, all four cores are pegged nearly the entire time. The only thing I could think of is that you must be running a GPU that's getting fully pegged so you are GPU limited and not noticing the limitations of your CPU.

There is no doubt that that this game will run just fine on any modern i5 though and people are panicking for no reason.
