Hi all,

I've had this game wishlisted for a while now, because I think it looks cool and sounds intriguing, but there are two things that have so far stopped me from buying: the price and complaints about the command line interface. Now that the game is on sale, the first obstacle is out of the way, and it's time to figure out whether the terminal makes or breaks the game for me.

I have seen several complaints about the command line interface in the game being completely unlike any real interface. I have experience with using several different command languages (mostly Bash though) and different terminal interfaces with various restrictions (e.g. not logging previously entered commands, not being able to scroll upwards through commands, not being able to scroll upwards in the terminal window, not being able to copy/paste in the terminal, etc.).

It therefore occurs to me, that perhaps the people complaining about the inaccuracy of the game, simply have never had to deal with the wide range of user-unfriendly command line interfaces out there. Then again, I haven't played the game and they have.

So I was wondering, what command language is used? What terminal interface? If you think the game is inaccurate in this way, why do you think that? Would this game be enjoyable/useful to keep my command line skills sharp?
