You would just complain if there was a roadmap too. A roadmap doesn't magically make updates come faster, or make the dev able to predict the future. Don't lie and say you wouldn't be complaining even louder if the dev said "the update 3 updates from now comes in early August" and then August ends and there's only 2 updates still.

There is no "dead silence", we know exactly what patches are being worked on right now and what is coming in the near future. Do you seriously want the dev to waste their time coming back here every day just to say "yeah I'm still working on the exact same stuff I've been working on the last few months"? That just makes each update take even longer.

With Abiotic Factor i have used the roadmap to decide when ill come back to the game instead of coming back each update to see its something that doesnt even warrant a checkout (based on my own opinion)

Yeah...but then again the dev can't even fix the constant micro-freezes that have been happening since the game came out. Instead he's too busy wasting time adding features for a multiplayer mode that will never work, for a community that has long since given up on the game after waiting for years for simple QOL fixes.

Expecting him to know what he's doing far enough in advance to actually have plans is a pipe dream. He hasn't added anything to the game worth a damn in years and when he does add something it's always broken or a feature nobody asked for....

the dev hired some people, he's working on updating the engine, it's taking them awhile. that will be the next update. it will be awhile. i can't remember when i read this. to make the game better. i think he is new to this, i trust him, he is still here. i know it has issues. but i have a very great time playing what is already there.

read the last update notes. you will see. that's all

All this is correct! We can assure you that devotid is still working hard behind the scenes on updating the engine which will take some time, and we will have an update for everyone as and when we can 🙂

Guys give the devs a break, either wait patiently or get lost. No wonder why community forums can't just be normal for once, because certain people can't stop being toxic.

Too true. Devotid made a nice arcade simulator for a perfectly reasonable price, and these folks still wanna be salty by choice. Well I say let 'em. They clearly aren't fans. After all, this game was meant to appeal to the inner child, not the whiny manchild.

Exactly. It's a shame that some players get so angry about update delays. They don't seem to grasp the intricacies of game development, and their negativity really takes away from the fun and entertainment games are supposed to provide.
