Look at recent changes and you'll see that bots create random spam pages everyday. You need to add some sort of verification on new users.
Well, I can see some garbage on the "recent changes" page, but there is nothing I can see on the actual wiki pages.
It seems that it works as it should - bot trying to place garbage on our pages, the attempt gets logged (that is good, so we know about them), but NOTHING gets actually published on any of the wiki pages.
I believe that is how it should work. Or am I wrong? I still do not see the issue. Not anything visible other than the logs.
btw Jan has added some more verification, captcha etc. today. But still, I don't see the actual problem. Can somebody show me a screenshot of the spam on regular pages? (NOT the "recent changes" list)
There's loads and loads of spam pages with names like "The Most Important Lie In Free Pokies Aristocrat" and "User:EverettArida493" still remaining to be cleaned out though... after all, while some days see no activity, on other days over twenty spam pages are created on a single day.
But thanks, seems you guys are trying to get on top of the spam mountain before it completely swamps your wiki!
