Anyone know the definition of "close"?
Is there a benefit to using Alliance Victory option? I don't remember liking it but that was a few reworks ago. If it means I can be allied with 1st place and they win, and so I win...I'll pass on it as an option.
AI improvements...yes...always a fan of a more capable computer strategy.
The Grand Vizier changes are fantastic. I like that you can stop them from taking over all production in cities with a governor, it also incentivizes Governor placement if you don't want GV having more control of city production. Excellent change.
Declare War request now only from Schemer and ask ally to join war only after war declared is a great change too. Along with lowering for Schemers the threshold to Cautious.
Upgraded units keeping fortification state also on point. Does anyone know if this includes Onagers into Mangonels being unlimbered? Is that a fortification state?
This is just a great fu*#ing patch all around. One of the best development teams and Community interaction teams I have ever seen in gaming.
100% agree. This is the main reason I was waiting for this patch before I played again!
Also true. :)
Play to win war denial kicks in when a player needs 25% more VPs or ambitions for victory.
Yes. enabling this option just means that the player can win an Alliance Victory if they are allied with a nation that achieves a regular victory.
Unlimbering is a separate state to fortification. An unlimbered Onager that is upgraded will keep it's unlimbered status.
Thanks very much for your kind words, that's great to hear!
I will keep this in mind. 25% more would be 1.25 or 5/4 times my current point. So if I am at 60 points and it takes 75 points to win, then "close" will kick in.
An easier calculation then would be if a player has 80% of the Victory points, then it kicks in.
Cool. This is very helpful for strategy.
You are very welcome of course. I just try to be genuine and honest. Cheers.
And that would be at 8 ambitions, out of the 10 needed to win I suppose.
