General Performance is odd - weird frame pacing and FPS issues with Vsync

Hi there! I just started playing the game and having some performance issues.

I'm on a 3080ti hooked up to a 4K TV, and the performance is stutters a ton. With V sync on it locks the game to 60 FPS with 35 ms frame time, which makes the game look really choppy.

If I turn off V sync I get tons of screen tearing, but if I set the target framerate to 288 the screen tearing is mitigated a bit but still quite noticable.

Out of curiosity I tried the game on Steam Deck and it runs flawlessly out of the box at 90 FPS no issues.

Any tips on how to make this game run better and play smoothly? Thanks

I'm also having the same issue, I played the game for over 40 hours at launch and never had a single issue, but somehow one of the updates broke the performance, which is something I had never seen before, especially in a indie game.

EDIT: Forcing Vsync through an external program while turning off the in-game Vsync solved the issue for me.
