I agree with Noir'thulu. I kinda liked how it ended and the mystery of his life afterwards. I'm not sure where one would go with the story, whilst still making it compelling, instead of it just depicting a downward spiral.

I'm all for a sequel. I agree with the above posters that protag-kun's life from stories-end on is probably better left a mystery, but:

Our Bell seems to have had quite a few experiences in her long life, and seemingly will long into the future. Perhaps we might hear more of those?

(I'd also have some interest in a retelling of the story from Melody's perspective.)

I didn't really think suicide... but I do suspect Bell might set his wife up to die (or do it herself) to get her out of the way, or something akin to that.

The MC is too weak to resist at this point, so Bell could do whatever she wants.

The game ended perfectly. No reason to ruin a good ending.

Maybe a different time setting? Or even different story with new characters but with similar atmosphere.

Yeah, I don't think he was suicidal; and people have an amazing ability to shift blame to others. If Bell tried to seduce him again he'd buckle eventually, and then try and justify if afterwards. Rinse and repeat. Sally eventually catches them...the end.

Far more interesting would be a followup with Bell and a new protagonist, or a story dealing with her past. Focusing on the immoral nigh immortal could make for a interesting series.

What I would like to see is a prequel. Robin's story ended perfectly, there's no need to revisit him. But Bell's story has so much potential, so many possibilities.

IDK if you guys know this already, but Ebihime has stated in her Twitter that she has completed the writing of the sequel but it's still in process of getting visuals and sprite art done

I am working on a sequel, the script is already done, but the artist is very busy and can't devote much time to the project. I'm doubtful it will be finished next year. At the moment, it seems more likely it will be done at some point during 2022, but I can't give a proper estimate right now.
It is being worked on, just very slowly. I'm sorry if this news is disappointing!

Oh dear heavens! So much time for some artwork, I can't grasp how it can take so much time... Guess it can't be helped, so just have to be patient I at least hope it's the same artist as in the first part! I love that artist's style.

That is okay. just happy to hera we getting a sequel. Take all the time you need. Better later release with good quality then hurry and release below what you could have done.

Amazing news! I was actually thinking if there was something about a sequel so this was the best thing to learn about. :D
