Les escribo algo corto para informar que subí una nueva versión de Sweetest Monster (después de tantos años... Guau...)

Esta nueva versión corrige un par de errores que estaban presentes en el texto en inglés y (más importante) añade una traducción completa al español cortesía de Aarón Acencio.

Él también tradujo mi otra novela visual corta y sombría, The Mermaid of Zennor, al español. ¡Pueden echarle un vistazo aquí si les interesa!

Ahora Bell habla en seis idiomas: inglés, alemán, francés, español, ruso y chino. ¡Es muy impresionante, es una gran políglota!

I'm writing an announcement to let you know that my newest VN, All Ashes and Illusions, has been released on Steam!

Ashes is a fairly grim 'romance' story about a delusional young prince who falls obsessively in love with his childhood nursemaid, Safiya.

Ashes features content some people might find discomforting, such as: a relationship with a 20 year age difference (Yuel, the protagonist and delusional young prince, is 20, while Safiya, his nursemaid and love interest, is 41), dub/noncon, written depictions of violence, coarse language, and a lot of casual misogyny.

Ashes is quite a painful read, but it's one of my favourite stories I've written to date, and I'm very fond of the characters. Do consider checking it out, if you're after a VN with an older love interest, and you don't mind a hefty dose of Despair and Suffering! I'd be very interested to hear what people make of this story (and Yuel, in particular), and whether it succeeds in ousting Sweetest Monster from its position of 'The Most Unpleasant ebi Story to Date'!

Hi everyone,

I'm not sure if you're aware, but I've been working on a sequel for Sweetest Monster these last couple of years called Sweetest Monster Refrain. The sequel is in a pretty decent state right now: it's only missing 3 pieces of artwork (which will take maybe 3-4 months to be finished), and then it'll be done.

I submitted a WIP build of the game to Steam a few weeks ago, but the game was banned because the content was deemed inappropriate for the platform. I wasn't given any means to appeal the ban, and I was told I wasn't allowed to resubmit the game even if I censored parts of the story (which I don't want to do anyway, because that would defeat the purpose of the story), so the sequel will not be available on Steam. I'll still release it, but I can't release it here.

If you want more updates on the sequel, you might want to follow my Twitter account, @ebihimes. I don't think I should post about Refrain when it's out, or provide any links to the storefront I mean to host it on, because I don't want to risk getting in trouble. I'm not going to say more on the subject than this on Steam, so you should keep an eye on my social media accounts if you're curious.

I'm sorry to the people who were waiting for the sequel, and who wanted to buy it on Steam; I hope this isn't too disappointing!

Hi everyone!

I’m just writing a post to let you know that my newest visual novel, Salome’s Kiss, has been released on Steam.

Salome is a yuri visual novel with some very gorgeous art which, on the surface, might not seem all that similar to Sweetest Monster. Salome is, however, one of the darker visual novels I've written, despite all the mannered prose and the cute character designs, and it has a pretty nasty ending (though perhaps it's not quite as nasty as Sweetest Monster's...)

If you enjoyed Sweetest Monster for its dark and unsettling atmosphere, you might find yourself enjying Salome, too. They have a fair amount in common - and I want to know which story people think is the grimmest. I can't quite decide!

If nothing else, reading Salome should tide you over before the release of Sweetest Monster's sequel (which I am, indeed, working on. I'm making pretty good progress on it, too, and I'm hoping to release it either late this year or early next).

A new build of Sweetest Monster has been uploaded to Steam, which includes a full German translation, a couple of typo fixes in the English script, and some minor edits to the UI to make it look slicker.

Thank you to everybody for all your support. It is because of you I’ve been able to translate this visual novel into so many languages, and it’s most appreciated!

As always, please let me know if you find any problems. I’ll try to fix them ASAP.

Hi everybody,

I recently uploaded a new build of Sweetest Monster to Steam, which includes a full French translation of the story by Herclinze!
It's kind of amazing that this VN is now available in four different languages... I never expected this would happen, but I'm very thankful!

This build also contains a small edit to the Russian translation, to correct a minor bug.

If this update does anything strange to the game, such as breaking achievements, please let me know. It would be appreciated!
If you find any typos, errors, or anything of the sort, feel free to point those out, too!

Hi everyone,

My newest VN, Rituals in the Dark, has been released! It's a short yuri VN with some vaguely spooky themes, with art by the same artist who worked on Sweetest Monster!
Rituals is nowhere near as dark as SM is, and the have very different stories, but they're very similar from a visual standpoint. If you liked the artwork in SM, you might like the visual design of Rituals, too!

I thought I'd let you know I've released my newest VN, The Language of Love! It's a kinetic BxG romance story, and it's very different to Sweetest Monster. LoL is more of a 'standard' romance story, and it doesn't include any horror elements...
But, if you enjoyed the writing of Sweetest Monster, you might be interested in LoL all the the same.
LoL also has a few fanservice scenes and an 18+ patch that can be downloaded through Steam, if that's a dealbreaker for anybody haha
