It sucked my soul!

Even though I got this for free, I don't think I can complete this game. The controls are ok, but they also get really weird when wall jumping. For example, if I am sliding on a wall and hold towards the wall when jumping away and keep holding towards the wall, I just keep going in the opposite direction of the wall. Also, there are 0 things that make execution just that bit easier that goes a long way. It has no coyote time or jump buffering, which is alright, at least until they start making big jumps from tiny blocks super common. Furthermore, the spike hitboxes are rectangular, but encapsulate the whole spike, so you will end up clipping the invisible corners of the spikes while visibly not hitting anything. There are spots where you are meant to jump between two of these spikes, but this is a pain as your jump is only one height and is very floaty. You get some very ice cube amounts of friction when coming to stops (in both air and on the ground) and it makes it feel like you aren't actually in control at all. Finally, there is some evil level design in this game. Spikes that look exactly normal but will fall from the roof with no way to tell other than dying to it at least once? Check. Offscreen crossbow shooter that you can't see until you get an item required for the level? Check. Camera not panning down when traveling down a shaft, leaving you to fall into a massive spike pit? Check. It just all comes together to make a miserable experience
