Great to see the oft-reported shader issue is addressed too.
I'll make sure to play through the game again and look for the known (past and present) bugs to see if they're present.
This update removes Denuvo Anti Tamper from Sonic Mania.
No guarantees it's 100% gone but it seems like it.

Making quick checks in my lunch hour out of excitement (this is the first update I'm a part of). It seems like a first startup after starting the PC is much faster now - 44 seconds down to 16. That could be related to the shader check improvement. Either way, nice work!
Another thing to check is to try cycling display modes in the settings and see if that still crashes.
Denuvo made me not buy Sonic Mania until this point. Take notes, Denuvo. Take notes, Sega.
However, you can still press Y to cheat special stages.
For those wondering, this patch sadly doesn't fix any palette issues or the Special Stage "W key" trick.
I did loop the intro screen of the game on my laptop for a while and the graphics seemed to work fine.
This looks really promising
