That doesn't mean they are posting on a fake account or don't have the game.
It just means they don't want people like you, people that get so upset over nothing you make a thread like this, to leave troll comments in their profiles and game reviews.
You need to chill. I'm not upset and this is not a troll post.
If Steam support believes it is they can remove it.
If they have the game they will have a mouse icon just like you just like me.
Everything I say is gonna bounce off of you and stick to me huh?
I haven't heard that once since kindergarten either.
I am chill. You were the one that was upset enough to make this thread.
And likewise Valve could have made this forum require that you own the game before you post in it. They chose not to for a reason.
I don't know why you are choosing to assume for some strange reason they would create a new account (which would start at steam level 1 btw) just to post negative things about the game. Seems like an extra unecessary step in that process.
But this forum is for the general discussion of the game Artifact. And at least they are here to discuss it. You made this thread to discuss your flawed assumptions about and poor opinion of other posters and not the game. So yes, that makes this a troll thread.
I did not realise I need your approval for posting a thread. Next time I will consult with you first as you are obviously a moderator in the making.
I assume I am meant to ignore the insults:
"It just means they don't want people like you, people that get so upset over nothing you make a thread like this, to leave troll comments in their profiles and game reviews."
"You made this thread to discuss your flawed assumptions about and poor opinion of other posters and not the game."
Again chill.
Many of the people trolling this forum, calling people "paid shills" and "fanboys" and "valve knights" for for expressing any positive opinion about the game or simply for not buying their "hurr durr game is dead/dying" bullcrap, don't even own the game.
You can see a mouse icon next to posters in the forum who own the game. A lot of the people obsessively crying about how this game is dead, don't even own it. Many of them are also posting from brand new private accounts as well that were obviously made with the intention to just troll.
If you can't express criticism without calling people "paid shills" and "fanboys" then you're not contributing to any constructive discussion in this forum.
You don't need to consult with me. If you must do so cosult with those rules you agreed to follow when posting here.
But no I would not suggest you ignore that feeling of being insulted. Usually that feeling is there to tell you that you are doing something wrong and it is probably better to heed that feeling and stop doing whatever it is you are doing that is so insuting for you.
As someone on the forums put it quite nicely some time ago, one doesn't need to stick their hands in a blender to know it's not a good idea.
Honestly, I doubt they are being paid as much as I doubt that I am being paid, as some of these trolls have already claimed. In my 14+ years of experience on Steam, people like this will troll simply just to troll. Some people just enjoy being angry and complaining about how "volvo greedy hurr durr." There was literally a kid complaining about the cost for Artifact while stating he had spent over $1200 on another digital card game, that ironically he can't even sell.
There are some half-decent suggestions for improvement but they are largely overshadowed by many of those same people claiming the game will die if Valve doesn't meet their demands.
Also, I've noticed that despite Valve having a stellar track record of support, updates and improvements for their games a lot of people complaining on this forum act like Artifact is never going to get another update again, which is just ridiculous.
I've been burned many times by other game companies, including companies that some of these trolls are defending or lauding as an example of what a digital card game should be but I've never been burned by Valve. They don't have an expansive publishing library but the quality, longevity and support for the games they have published speaks for itself, in a good way.
