Very bad performance?
Hey guys, just finished downloading the game and trying to play, but it makes my entire pc buffer, not only the game but also my second monitor. I have a 3080ti and already put all the display settings to pretty much all low. Also put frames to 144, this is the first and only game that performs this horrible for me, is there any fix?

Weird that it effects the second monitor as well. If you're not on DX12, swap to that in the settings. If you are using DX12, swap to DX11. You could also install Strackers[www.nexusmods.com] (which allows for modding) and try the Performance Booster[www.nexusmods.com] mod. There's also this Reddit thread where the user received an email from Capcom support and found a solution.

Specifically, performing a clean boot, with next to no programs active, was successful in loading the game with no frame issues whatsoever. Still slowly working through programs to find out what was causing the lag (I've been installing a lot of 3D modelling software for a uni course), but currently this seems to have solved the problem.
above post details it well.

beyond that i'd recommend listing additional hardware components and configuration to see if maybe someone can see something wrong 'at a glance'.

but no worries if you wanna call it a day. i get it.

"Volume Rendering Quality" is the performance hog, some people like the way the game looks without it better anyway.

I play everything maxed out on an rtx 4060 8b with a bit of supersampling, but I only get away with that by using the performance booster and because my target fps is only 60.

I swear it seems to run better some days than others, and I've noticed it can sometimes appear choppy like there are bad frame times though I've not been able to measure what is happening. I think a lot of it is just me depending on how much I'm noticing/imagining things that day.

I played this on ps4 years ago and I'm mostly just happy that the game loads quickly now more than anything.
