It is not 5 to 10 minutes for afk kick. There is an automated 30 minute disconnect. If people are being kick out of session at 10 minute mark, the Host of the lobby is forcing players out.

I've noticed I don't get kicked when I sit at the Canteen. No idea if it actually helps but even in my solo sessions I stay Online so I'm guessing it would work.

You can probably circumvent it by sitting at the canteen, but it has been a while since I did that when afking. I recall sitting for a while (20-30 minutes) sometimes, and I don't recall getting disconnected by the AFK timer.
